At Staach, sustainability is a way of life - a process of continually finding more and better ways of existing within this world. We are committed to sustainably sourcing our wood products, using water-based finishes, and fostering a healthy work environment for our employees. As designers, manufacturers, employers, and stewards we recognize that our actions carry significant weight, and pride ourselves on being proactive, respected advocates for social and environmental causes.
Sustainability
As stewards, maintaining and supporting our natural resources by utilizing methods and practices that protect them for current and future generations is one of our highest goals. Through memberships with the U.S. Green Building Council and the American Sustainable Business Network, we actively promote responsible practices at the product and business level through engagement with local and national leadership.
Forest Stewardship Council®
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) promotes the environmentally beneficial and socially beneficial management of the world’s forests. To further support this mission we operate a FSC Chain-of-Custody Certified certified facility ensuring responsibly sourced wood all along the supply chain.
Ethics
We think that businesses can, and should, actively contribute to making our communities and our environment a little better off because of the way we act. Our team holds to these practices by engaging with our local communities, supporting fair labor practices, maintaining a living wage for our employees, and working with other organizations who maintain these important standards along with us.
