Project Narrative

The owners of Ugly Duck sought to create a space for interaction and collaboration consistent with the culture and craft of coffee. Staach’s response was to reflect the straightforward and simple presentation consistent with Ugly Duck Coffee.

A minimalistic design scheme highlighted simple materials in a nearly-raw format. Programming was achieved through the use of furniture and millwork that created opportunities for interaction and conversation among the patrons and baristas.
